We are excited to announce that our March online group exhibition, “Wanderlust” is sponsored by Intrepid Camera! With their support, we will be giving away an Intrepid 4x5 MK3 Camera to the winner of this online exhibition! To enter, all you need to do is read and respond to the following prompt with your analog photography:
Photographers are most often a very curious breed of artist. They do not side idly by while the world passes them over, uninterested. To the contrary, they get up, get out, and apply their vision to the people, environment, and culture all around them. They are explorers by trade - examining and learning, processing and interpreting, and presenting us all with the yields of their efforts. We look to them as navigators, steering us to the furthest reaches of our planet, and inspiring us to do the same.
Exploring our planet and all things that reside there, Analog Forever is looking to curate an exhibition born from the wanderlust that drives you to travel in search of images that get your blood moving like nothing else. Show us where you’ve been, how you’ve explored, and why your motivation to make photographs remains your primary objective. All forms and formats of photographs created with analog materials or processes are accepted.
The best of these images will be showcased in an online show curated by Alan Ross, an internationally respected master photographer and educator best known for his tonally exquisite black-and-white images of the American West, who honed his vision and technique while working side-by-side with Ansel Adams as his full-time photographic assistant. Ross was also personally selected by Adams to be the exclusive printer of the Yosemite Special Edition Photograph negatives, an assignment he has enjoyed for nearly 40 years.

Image Specifications:
1) Only .jpg files will be accepted.
2) Images must be 1500px on the shortest side at 72dpi.
3) No photo-shopped borders or watermarks.
4) Only two images may be submitted.
Email Specifications:
1) The subject line of your email should state: "Submission: Wanderlust”
2) Please ATTACH your images to the email. Do not embed them. Do not attach a google drive or dropbox link.
3) Please do not send PDF or Text Files. Please put all information into the body of the email.
Specific information needed for each Submission:
1) Your name as you would like it to appear.
2) The Camera and Process used to create your images.
3) Titles for each of your photograph(s). Write out each title exactly as you would like it to appear.
4) Email Address in the text of the email.
5) The Website Address you would like your images linked to.

About the Curator
Alan Ross is an internationally respected master photographer and educator best known for his tonally exquisite black-and-white images of the American West.
He honed his vision and technique while working side-by-side with Ansel Adams as his full-time photographic assistant and was integrally involved with Adams’ books, teaching in Yosemite and production of fine prints. Alan was personally selected by Adams to be the exclusive printer of the Yosemite Special Edition Photograph negatives, an assignment he has enjoyed for nearly 40 years.
In 1979, Alan left Carmel to open a commercial photography studio in San Francisco., where he enjoyed working on projects ranging from world-wide campaigns for the Bank of America to landscape murals for the National Park Service.
He relocated to Santa Fe in 1993 and enjoys pursuing his art, teaching, writing articles and blogs, and traveling the globe speaking about his years with Ansel Adams and the impact that had on his own work.
Alan is also a consummate and dedicated photographic educator who shares his vast knowledge of the art and craft of traditional film photography, inspiring professionals and amateurs alike as they work to realize and refine their photographic voice.
His photography hangs in collections, galleries and museums around the world, including the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Huntington Library and the Center for Creative Photography. Connect with Alan Ross on his website!
